Copenhagen/Washington – Fearing a possible US invasion, Denmark sent an army regiment and elite troops to Greenland in January, according to a media report. A military operational order dated January 13th contained instructions for the defense of the Arctic island, the Danish broadcaster DR reported on Thursday. This was a reaction to the US military operation in Venezuela at the beginning of January, during which President Nicolás Maduro was captured by US soldiers.
