The allegation has gained strength on social media in recent days: users who go to the emergency room at Vila Franca de Xira hospital no longer have the date and time of entry into the service.
In a Facebook post, a user even talks about a bracelet “fraud”: “Most infamously, what reveals the moral baseness of this administration, is the disappearance of entry times on wristbands. What sly maneuver is this? Are they trying to erase the evidence of their negligence?” he writes.

In a response sent to SIC Verifica, the hospital confirms that “The bracelets in the Vila Franca de Xira Hospital Emergency Department do not currently display the entry recorda situation that we hope to resolve as soon as possible.”
The Local Health Unit (ULS) Tagus Estuary justifies what happened with “temporary IT constraints” and ensures that “the record containing the date and time of entry appears on the admission password to the Emergency Roomwhich accompanies the user throughout the entire period of care”.
The hospital also reiterates that it “ensures complete transparency with regard to waiting times and service (…), the data of which can be consulted, at any time, on the SUS Portal”.
