The former mayor of Rafael Greca announced this Thursday (19) that he is leaving the PSD to join the MDB, with an eye on the pre-candidacy for the government.
According to Sheet showed in January, Greca had already found space in the caption.
In Paraná, the governor’s PSD was working until now with three main names to join: in addition to Greca, state deputy Alexandre Curi, who presides over the Legislative Assembly, and the state secretary for Cities, Guto Silva.
Although he did not publicly declare it, Ratinho Junior signaled his preference for Guto Silva, which weakened the plans of Curi and Greca, who began to be courted by other parties.
The PP, which is led in Paraná by federal deputy Ricardo Barros, even included the possibility of Greca’s membership, reinforcing the rejection of senator Sergio Moro, who is expected to officially exchange União Brasil for the PL next week.
The former Lava Jato judge to remain a pre-candidate for governor and, this Wednesday (18), indicated.
Moro’s movement, which has appeared as a leader in voting intention polls, represented a defeat for Ratinho Junior’s group, which expected it would work together with the PL to succeed in making its successor in the state government.
At the beginning of 2025, one sealed the local alliance for 2026. But conversations changed after the arrest of the former president and the launch of Flávio Bolsonaro’s name for Planalto, a position also desired by Ratinho Junior.
This Thursday, during the signing of the MDB membership form, Greca stated that she will continue to support Ratinho Junior’s project for the presidency and thanked the party. He is currently state secretary for Sustainable Development.
Greca was alongside federal deputies Baleia Rossi (SP), national president of the MDB, and Sergio Souza (PR), state president of the party.
Baleia Rossi also mentioned at the meeting the name of former senator Alvaro Dias, who joined the MDB at the end of last year and is expected to seek the senator’s position again in October.
In the dispute for the government of Paraná, in addition to Greca, Moro and Guto Silva, the opposition camp defined the name of state deputy Requião Filho, from the PDT, in an alliance with the PT.
