The European Union will not participate militarily in any way in the US and Israel’s war with Iran. This applies in particular to securing the narrow Strait of Hormuz between Iran and Oman, which is currently hardly navigable due to the threat of Iranian attacks on tankers and merchant ships. International trade and maritime traffic are severely affected as a result. The 27 heads of state and government agreed on this at the EU summit on Friday night in Brussels.
