The supreme leader of IranMojtaba Khamenei, this Friday rejected his country’s involvement in the attacks carried out on Oman y Türkiye within the framework of the war unleashed in the Middle East since last February 28, when Israel and the United States launched their joint offensive against Iranian territory, ensuring that it is “false flag” operations by Tel Aviv.

The Ayatollah stressed that the launching of projectiles against “some areas” of Turkey and Oman “were not carried out in any way by the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic or by other forces of the Resistance Front”, during a speech read by an announcer on the state broadcasting network IRIB, on the occasion of the Persian New Year.

“This is a trick that the Zionist enemy uses to create division between the Islamic Republic and its neighbors, through the false flag tactic, and it could also happen in other countries,” he added after highlighting Tehran’s “good relations” with Doha and Ankara.

Khamenei, who has not appeared in public after his election as the new supreme leader to replace his father, killed on the first day of the war, has boasted in his statement that “Iran’s front is much bigger than (the) petty and stingy mentality” of Israel and the United States, while calling for unit of his “countrymen”. “As a result of the unique unity that has been forged among you, compatriots, with all the differences in religious, intellectual, cultural and political origins, there has been a fracture in the enemy“, he celebrated.

In another message, the Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkiancalled on his compatriots to unite against the United States and Israel. “They thought that by killing our leader we would capitulate, but we have become stronger,” he declared. “I ask Iranians abroad to put aside their resentments and, in this new year, unite for the unity and progress of Iran,” he added in the message posted on social networks.
