Kristen Stewart’s debut The Chronology of Water is eccentric and brilliant


The images flicker, the sound bubbles, you see a swimming pool, a white-tiled floor, blood flowing down the drain, the face of an exhausted young woman. Memories arise: “This is not how I remember it,” says the narrator. “That’s not how I remember it.” Kristen Stewart is an unreliable, erratic, traumatized and addictive narrator in her impressive directorial debut The Chronology of Water puts at the center.
