The lead singer of Ratos de Porão, João Gordo, 62, used his social networks on Sunday night (22) to comment on his detention at Belo Horizonte International Airport, in Confins (MG).
The artist, caught with around 1 gram of , classified the episode as a “loss” for having missed his flight.
In a video recorded from the car, already in São Paulo, in the Glicério neighborhood, the vocalist minimized the situation and reported the physical discomfort he faced during the trip.
“No sh*t happened, man. I got arrested for a gram of weed. The skunks [policiais] They were nice people even to me, but, damn, bro, it’s a bad idea to miss the flight, tired”, said the singer, without giving further details.
João Gordo was intercepted during the x-ray inspection of the Minas Gerais airport. According to information from , he confirmed possession of the substances to the agents. After being forwarded to the authorities, a TCO (Detailed Statement of Occurrence) was drawn up for personal consumption.
The singer was released with a commitment to appear in court when requested. In the video published after the release, João Gordo also clarified an unusual point that generated confusion among his followers: the use of a “spray”.
“S*** spray because I had dysentery. It’s my s*** spray”, explained the artist, referring to a product to neutralize odors, reinforcing that he felt ill the previous morning.

Despite the legal and logistical setback, João Gordo informed that he continues with his professional commitments. “I’m going there now to play with the crow’s beak. I’m here in São Paulo, everything is fine”, he reassured his fans as he ended the statement with his characteristic style.
Earlier, he had posted a humorous post on Instagram stories making fun of the situation.
The Civil Police of Minas Gerais reiterated that the conduct of the incident was the responsibility of the Federal Police, with the state level only responsible for formally recording the fact.
