The former president (PL) should be discharged from the ICU (intensive care unit) within the next 24 hours, if he maintains satisfactory progress, said this Monday (23) the medical team treating the politician.
He is in Brasília to treat bilateral bacterial pneumonia resulting from bronchoaspiration. Subjected to treatment with antibiotics, he has been improving in recent days.
“[Bolsonaro] continues with intravenous antibiotic therapy, intensive clinical support and respiratory and motor physiotherapy”, says the medical bulletin released this Monday. “If he maintains satisfactory progress, he should be discharged from intensive care in the next 24 hours.”
This Monday, the (Attorney General’s Office) filed a request for Bolsonaro’s defense.
This week, the minister, from , asked the DF Star hospital, where Bolsonaro is hospitalized, for information about the former president’s clinical condition. The institution sent the minister medical reports and a complete medical record. After the PGR’s statement, the decision will be up to Moraes.
The former president is arrested in the coup plot process, but he had to be on March 13 after feeling ill. He was diagnosed with bronchopneumonia.
