A jingle used by the senator (-RN) at the pre-candidacy event for president organized in the says that “the center will fall off its horse” and that the electorate does not want a “third way to be harmed”.
Flávio is trying to get, like União Brasil, the PP and the Republicans, since Jair Bolsonaro (PL), to run for President, in December, instead of the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans).
“Now Brazil is Flávio. And Flávio is Bolsonaro. The left is in despair and the center falls off the horse”, says the song’s chorus.
The jingle also reinforces the polarization between Flávio and President Lula (PT), by criticizing alternative candidates: “In 2026, Flávio Bolsonaro. We don’t want a third way. No more PT, don’t cry like that. In 2026, there are both sides in the parade.”
The senator’s interlocutors have spoken with the governor of Paraná, . (), one of the pre-candidates of the third way, about .
In addition to Ratinho, the governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite (PSD), and Romeu Zema (Novo), stand as alternatives to Bolsonaro’s eldest son.
This Sunday (22) the Panel sought out the press office of Flávio and the senator (PL-RN), coordinator of the campaign for president and one of the hosts of the event in Rio Grande do Norte, but there was no response.
Flávio’s visit to the state marked the beginning of the pre-campaign in the Northeast, a region where he faces the greatest rejection. Flávio wore a t-shirt with the phrase “Northeast is a solution” — in a kind of northeastern way.
During the event, the former mayor of Natal, Álvaro Dias, who will run for state government, joined the PL. The list presented will have senator Styvenson Valentim (PSDB) and military officer Colonel Hélio (PL) as candidates for the Senate.
In addition to Álvaro Dias, the mayor of Mossoró, Allyson Bezerra (União Brasil), and the current state Finance Secretary, Cadu Xavier (PT), have already announced that they are pre-candidates for governor.
