The Josephinum, the medical history museum of the Medical University of Vienna on Währinger Straße, is a busy place these days. In addition to groups of visitors, crews of craftsmen also rush through the time-honored building with its huge windows, high ceilings and thick walls; drilling, hammering and tapping are taking place everywhere. Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle: the director of the house, Christiane Druml. There is a lot to do. In a few days, on March 26th, the exhibition “Klimt and Medicine” will open its doors to the public. The exhibition, curated by art historian Tobias G. Natter, focuses on Klimt’s profound scientific knowledge of the human body and its anatomy.
