The New York police, in the United States, reported this Monday (23) that all streets and highway exits leading to LaGuardia Airport are closed until further notice. Authorities recommend that drivers and pedestrians avoid the area and prepare for delays.

According to the airline, the aircraft was carrying 72 passengers and 4 crew members.
. In total, 41 people, including passengers, crew and two police officers who were in the fire truck, were taken to hospitals in the region.
To date, 32 have been discharged, while nine remain hospitalized with serious injuries. The police officers remain hospitalized, but their lives are not at risk.
Shortly after the collision, the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) suspended ground operations at LaGuardia Airport due to an “aircraft emergency.” The airport is expected to remain closed until 2pm on Monday, according to the FAA.
