The police are working with four investigative versions, while according to each of them, the fire was committed intentionally. The case is being investigated as a suspected terrorist attack and, according to Noviniek, it is also cooperating with the Slovak police.
The fire broke out last week on Friday in an industrial complex in Pardubice. The hall in which the fire started belongs to the Czech arms company LPP Holding, which, among other things, also produces drones. The attack was claimed by the previously unknown group The Earthquake Faction, which claims that its the goal was to destroy the “epicenter of the Israeli arms industry” in Europe. It has also released videos it claims show the attack in progress.
At the time, the Czech media pointed out that a few years ago, zbrojovka planned cooperation with the Israeli company Elbit Systems, while it was supposed to concern Israeli drones. However, according to LPP Holding spokeswoman Martina Tauberová, the cooperation did not take place in the end. “We really deny that drones of the Israeli company Elbit Systems were manufactured in our plant. The announced cooperation never took place. LPP Holding manufactures its own unmanned vehicles equipped with advanced optical navigation,” Tauberová told TASR. The Czechs are collecting the type of their MTS-40C drone in the collection of the Gift for Putin initiative, which will deliver them to Ukraine.
