The musician Birgit Denk has been elected as the new chairwoman of the Austrian Music Fund. Three of the six board members, Georg Tomandl, Franz Medwenitsch and Peter Paul Skrepek, were no longer available for re-election at their own request. Denk wanted to “continue the proven work of the music fund and develop it further as a modern service provider for musicians and the music industry,” it said in a press release on Wednesday.
