Deputy says that STF did not address the issue of penduricalhos – 03/26/2026 – Panel

The leader of the Chamber, Pedro Uczai (SC) criticized the decision of the (Supreme Federal Court) that limited the payment of penduricalhos to 35% of the constitutional ceiling and said that the court, which should protect the , does not take care of the Constitution.

“Whoever is the guardian of the Constitution does not take care of the Constitution, does not guard the Constitution, but violates the Constitution. The STF has already started violating the ceiling”, he told the Panel.

Uczai regretted the outcome of the trial and said that the solution involves raising the constitutional ceiling.

“If they think the ceiling is low, then raise the ceiling and face the issue before society. But the STF didn’t have the courage to face the problem,” he stated.

The Supreme Court’s decision is valid until the issue is regulated. But the assessment in parliament is unanimous in ensuring that the issue will not be on the agenda in an election year.
