The Government of São Paulo authorized, this Wednesday (25), the creation of 5 thousand new vacancies for extra working hours of criminal police officers, called DEJEPs (Special Daily Allowances for Extraordinary Penitentiary Work Days).
According to the Government, the measure is aimed at criminal police officers linked to SAP (Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration). With the project, daily rates, which were previously 21,690 per month,
To measure R$15 million will be used for payment. Previously, criminal police officers had already benefited from the end of the Income Tax discount for the payment of DEJEPs.
The initiative aims to expand and promote greater efficiency in the implementation of security, discipline, escort and custody policies for prisoners, seeking to provide quality services.
The measure corresponds to the server’s work, limited to ten days per month for both classes. Furthermore, participation is optional.
How to sign up?
The interested server must subscribe to a “Single List” in your prison unit. According to the Government, the public servant cannot perform the DEJEP if he is away — on sick leave, for example — with the exception of taking bonus leave in some specific cases.
