A woman who claims she was drugged and raped by Jeffrey Epstein told the BBC, on condition of anonymity, everything she went through when she met her sexual abuser.
She claims to have met Epstein at the age of 19, when she was working as a model, and was hired to give him a massage at his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
The woman reports that she was pressured into having sex with Epstein and when she refused, the tycoon allegedly masturbated in front of her.
She tried to leave, she says, but the man gave her a glass of water to drink which made her lose consciousness for at least 12 hours, during which time she believes she was raped.
She woke up feeling sick and with signs that she had had sex, despite not remembering anything.
Epstein allegedly tried once again to force sexual intercourse and to try to dissuade him, the woman said she was menstruating, to which he replied “don’t lie to me”. It was the moment he was sure he had been the victim of rape.
“I don’t know how I survived,” he told the BBC, urging victims to share their stories and pressure the US administration to fully release the Epstein files.
Around two million files remain classified.
“I don’t think it’s too much to ask,” he says, and it would be essential to finally “heal” the psychological wounds left by the abuse.
“We, survivors, are nothing more than pawns in political discourse at this moment, and that is disgusting”, he laments.
