The Israeli army said in the early hours of Friday (27) that it carried out a series of attacks “in the heart of Tehran”. Smoke was also seen in Beirut. Israel deployed troops to the border with Lebanon. Israeli authorities have said they want to take control of the entire area south of the Litani River.
The war killed more than 1,900 people in Iran and nearly 1,100 in Lebanon. Eighteen people died in Israel, while three Israeli soldiers were also killed in Lebanon.
