The president of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, and the prime minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, held a telephone call this Saturday, the 28th, to discuss regional security and the developments of the war, which completes one month today.
In a publication on the social network X, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that, during the conversation, Iran stated that attacks on the country’s infrastructure and targeted killings are deepening distrust in the region.
According to the post, Pezeshkian thanked Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to try to end hostilities. Both leaders issued a joint warning against escalating the conflict and urged neighboring nations to prevent their territories from being used as bases for launches or attacks against other countries.

The statement also highlights the need for solidarity and dialogue based on mutual respect to stabilize the Middle East. The diplomatic move comes amid pressure on the Strait of Hormuz and the intensification of air operations in Tehran.
