The third round of the dance show Let’s Dance on Markíza was full of touching moments. This time, the dancing couples put technical precision on the back burner and their life stories came to the fore. Each choreography was dedicated to someone special – from parents and children to fateful mentors or friends.
In that round, the dance floor was transformed into a place full of gratitude and deep relationships. Actress Petra Polnišová decided to dedicate her dance to her beloved mother. In a short clip before her dance, the actress revealed what her mother really means to her. “This little girl is my mother. My mom is everything to me. Friend, babysitter, showman, MacGyver“, she named how she perceives the most important woman in her life.
“I need something and mom always has a bag where she actually digs and it suddenly pulls out anything from small scissors to a meat grinder, anything a person needs. She is always ready to survive in the wilderness,” joked Polnišová.
Petra’s mother remembered the time when she understood that her daughter was special. “I’m very proud of Pećka, because people like her very much. She always used to tell us poems at Christmas or at some of the family celebrations. She played the flute, played the violin. Well, I remember, she danced there at the graduation party, what was the name of that group? Boney M. And she was doing what she’s doing there doing those horrible moves. I then experienced the first feeling of how people applauded her, how much they enjoyed it“, she described the powerful moment.
Polnišová was overcome with emotion during their conversation. “My mother was my support. Whatever I decided, she always stood up for me. I don’t even know what everyone can be. She’s just my mom,” she said, her voice shaking. “I appreciate you for being such a good soul,” her mother addressed touching words to the actress. “God, those are milkmaids, mom,” Petra responded.
The artist’s mother appreciated how she treats children. “And I have to say, I learned a lot about you. That’s how you treat your children. How many times have I said to myself, hen, even I didn’t behave as well as you do. She is simply my daughter, she is my life and she is my child,” she declared.
Polnišová did not hesitate for a moment in deciding to whom she would dedicate her dance in Let’s Dance. “When we were thinking about who we could dedicate the dance to, no one else came to mind. Even though I love my children, I love my family, no one ever came to my mind but you. And always,” added the actress.
Petra’s mother even accompanied her on the dance floor, where she danced with her in the beginning. Polniš’s dance parter Vilém Šír then took the actress’ mother to a reserved place where she had a chair right on the floor and handed her a beautiful bouquet.
