In affiliation with the PSB, minister defends greater participation in the 2026 elections, but says she accepts “taking what is possible”
The Minister of Planning and Budget, said this Friday (27 March 2026) that she prefers to run for the Senate alongside another woman. The phrase was uttered during his act of joining the PSB of São Paulo, held in the Monumental Hall of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo.
The other vacancy to the Senate with the support of (PT) remains open. They are listed: the Minister of the Environment (Rede) and the Minister of Entrepreneurship (PSB). On Monday (23rd March), Alckmin The possibility of running for the Senate is open, although he prefers to leave as vice-president.

PSB MEMBERSHIP
The minister left the MDB after 29 years. It was his only party throughout his political career. Tebet is a native of Mato Grosso do Sul. In the state, she was a state deputy, mayor of Três Lagoas, government secretary, vice-governor and senator.
Tebet decided to leave for São Paulo.

By saying that in São Paulo “there is more acceptance”the senator indicates that a possible dispute in her homeland would not be favorable to her.
