A 78-year-old driver invaded, on Monday afternoon, the Porto Metro line and traveled approximately two kilometers, between Senhora da Hora, in Matosinhos, and the Ramalde area.
The situation caused constraints on circulation on the common trunk of the network, towards Estádio do Dragão, affecting several lines and causing delays of around 10 minutes. Despite the apparatus, there were no reports of injuries.
The alert led to INEM intervention, as the driver showed signs of disorientation. The vehicle ended up immobilized on the side of the metro channel, requiring its removal using a tow.
The removal of the car was scheduled for after the end of network operations, during the early hours of the morning, in order not to cause further impacts on circulation.
