Immersive Strauss Museum at Vienna’s Naschmarkt is ceasing operations

Vienna – The immersive Johann Strauss Museum at Vienna’s Naschmarkt is ceasing operations and filing for bankruptcy. From the operator’s perspective, the reason lies in “serious defects at the location that have not been resolved for years.” According to the broadcast, the museum “literally could not be seen” since it opened in November 2024: a permanently covered facade, “caused by a monument protection requirement postponed by the property owner”, made it invisible for a long time.
