More water! Inmet issues new warning of intense rain for Acre; look

Sunday will be heavy rain and alert of potential danger in Rio Branco

Lots of water out there! The National Institute of Meteorology () issued a potential danger alert for intense rain across Acre this Monday (30). The warning began at 9:13 am and remains valid until 11:59 pm, indicating weather conditions that require the population’s attention.

According to the agency, the forecast is for rain between 20 and 30 millimeters per hour, reaching up to 50 millimeters per day, accompanied by intense winds that can vary between 40 and 60 km/h. Although the risk is considered low, there is the possibility of occurrences such as power outages, tree branches, flooding and electrical discharges.

The alert covers all regions of the state. Among the guidelines, the institute recommends that, during gusts of wind, the population avoids taking shelter under trees or parking vehicles near transmission towers and advertising signs. It is also advised not to use electronic devices plugged into the socket during periods of instability.
