Voyo started filming the first purely Slovak animated Voyo Original The Case of the Slovaks. The upcoming three-part miniseries will bring to the screens a chilling true crime story inspired by real events and the case of one of the most intelligent serial killers in Slovak history – Jozef Slovák. The demanding main role of a ruthless manipulator will be played by the phenomenal actor Milan Ondrík.
The story itself is set in the dark post-revolutionary chaos of the 90s, against the background of which an extremely difficult investigation takes place. At its center is a young criminal investigator who finds herself on her first big case. Clues lead her to an extremely dangerous criminal who under the guise of false identities, he can subtly manipulate the trust of those around him and create the illusion of truth.
In a ruthless game of cat and mouse, the main character gradually discovers that it is not enough to catch the killer for a definitive victory. If he wants to prevent the worst, he must understand how he thinks – before it’s too late.

The difficult psychology of the characters and the dark atmosphere of the story will be portrayed by an exceptionally high-quality cast. Alongside Milan Ondrík in the lead role, the audience can look forward to notable actors such as Roman Luknár, Juraj Loj, Dominika Fischer (Kavaschová), which is complemented by the upcoming generation of talented actresses Anežka Petrová and Timea Michalková.
The direction of the new story Prípad Slovák is in the hands of the talented Peter Hoferica, who is also signed to the serial megahit Dunaj, at your servicebut also under the successful titles Worst week of my life, Second chance or In the grip. At the same time, the novel is created under the creative supervision of Evita Twardzik, the head of the series production department, and Alexandra Dubovská, director of the Production Center of the Markíza Group.
The renowned production company Film Kolektiv is behind the production of this ambitious project. She has to her credit the production of several premium and audience-successful titles from the TV Markíza workshop and the Voyo platform, such as Betrayal, In the grip or Voyo Originals The case of Roubal and Bora.
