Platform will measure impact of targeted credit – 03/29/2026 – Panel

ABDE (Brazilian Development Association) will launch, this week, the “Targeted Credit Observatory” to monitor the effects of credit on .

The idea is to create a single platform that brings together data and analysis on the quality, efficiency and impacts of resource use. The tool promises to increase transparency and help formulate public policies.

Targeted credit is used for specific purposes, with rates lower than market rates and usually serves strategic sectors of the economy.

Initially, the project will receive financing from the (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) and implementation will take place over the course of one year.

The unprecedented project will be launched next Wednesday (2), in Brasília, during the 11th edition of the Development Forum.

The governance of the observatory will be shared between ABDE, development financial institutions and a university, which will be responsible for methodological rigor and scientific production.
