Without an agreement with unions, the government decides not to send a project that benefits employees to Aleac

The State Government decided not to send to the Legislative Assembly of Acre (Aleac), this Tuesday (31), the bill it authored that grants improvements to state public servants. The information was passed on to the ContilNet by the Secretary of Government (Segov), Luiz Calixto.

Last week — which demanded compliance with several agendas, including the Annual General Review (RGA) of 20.39% and the increase in food aid to one thousand reais —, one, led by Calixto, went to Aleac to present the project.

The government’s proposal is to increase food assistance from R$420 to R$700; create a health benefit for inactive and retired people, worth R$500; and institute a food allowance of R$700 for military personnel, who currently do not have this benefit.

The project would be voted on this Tuesday if the categories accepted the government’s proposal — which did not happen, according to Calixto.

“The project has not been sent. We will not forward it if there is no consensus”, stated the head of Segov.

The unions presented a counterproposal to the government, which provides for a food allowance of R$900, in addition to other demands that cannot be “funded by the Executive”, as the secretary pointed out.

“We will now inform them that it will not be possible [o atendimento da contraproposta] due to lack of financial conditions. They want R$800, R$900 in aid. There are no conditions”, said Calixto.

Calixto also explained the reason for not submitting the project even without consensus among the unions.

“We are not going to do the following: present a proposal for any deputy to present an amendment and our people have to vote against it and be embarrassed. We are not going to do that”, he highlighted.

Finally, the secretary stated that, if the unions do not reach a consensus and do not accept the government’s proposal, the project will not be sent to Aleac.

“We are going to tell the unions that, if they say that they do not comply, we simply will not send [o projeto]”, he concluded.
