Former president of the Central Bank was not required to attend; This is the 2nd time that the collegiate has tried to hear him
The former president of Roberto Campos Neto did not appear this Tuesday (March 31, 2026) at the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into Organized Crime to give a statement. He didn’t have to go.
The former president of the BC to give testimony on February 25th. Minister André Mendonça, from , the obligation to attend. A new request was approved to invite him as a witness.
The CPI wants to hear from Campos Neto about the BC’s actions in combating money laundering and the infiltration of organized crime in the financial system.
FORMER GOVERNORS CALLED
The CPI for Organized Crime approved new requests this Tuesday (31 March 2026).
The following calls were approved:
- Claudio Castro (PL), from Rio de Janeiro and pre-candidate for the Senate;
- Ibaneis Rocha (MDB), the Federal District and the Senate;
- Renato Dias de Brito Gomesformer director of Financial System Organization and Resolution at the Central Bank.
