“It’s scary to think that there are people calling him a hero”: Gisèle Pelicot wants to “leave the victim status” of her ex-husband

In an interview with CNN Internacional, Gisèle Pelicot admits that she was shocked to learn that there are those who consider her ex-husband, Dominique Pelicot, a “hero”, after subjecting his wife to abuse and rape, including inviting other men to do so, without his consent. Gisèle also says she wants to “leave victim status” and is trying to “regain control” of her own life.
