Ried im Innkreis – Austria’s U21 footballers can continue to dream of participating in the European Championship thanks to a last-minute win. Coach Peter Perchtold’s selection celebrated late on Tuesday in Ried with a 2-1 (0-0) mandatory win against bottom-placed Belarus and, after six of eight group games, is still in the race for a ticket to the 2027 European Championship finals in Albania and Serbia. The qualification will be completed in October 2026 with the games against Denmark and Wales.
