Young and successful influencer from Taiwan Wang Wei-Chien († 29) had her whole life ahead of her, but one mistake deprived her of everything. For many months, the popular face of social networks had no idea that a silent killer was growing in her body. She attributed her health problems to a banal consequence of her active lifestyle, which eventually became fatal, she writes
It all started with subtle swelling and pain in the armpit area. Wang, who was involved in exercise and strength training, initially thought it was a common injury. “At first she thought it was a pulled muscle from lifting something heavy,” sources close to the family said. Only when she felt a hard lump in 2021 did she finally decide to seek professional help. After a series of tests, the doctors gave her a devastating diagnosis – lymphoma.
Despite immediately starting aggressive treatment, the tumor behaved unpredictably. The cancer progressed unusually quickly and did not respond to treatments as well as experts had hoped. However, the young woman decided not to give up her fight in silence and began to openly inform thousands of followers about her journey.
The support of those around her gave her enormous strength to continue the treatment, even though her body was getting weaker and weaker. “They showed me that I don’t have to be afraid. In that moment I felt completely filled with courage and shaving my head didn’t seem scary at all.” Wang Wei-Chien confessed on the social network.
In addition to fighting the disease, she managed to found her own cosmetic brand Hermacy, which was her big dream. Unfortunately, an insidious disease definitively ended her successful career and personal life. The company that covered her activities confirmed the sad news. “Since Ms. Wang was at the core of our operations, we have decided to officially close our operations,” the company said in a statement.
The late influencer posted her last post on social media on New Year’s Eve, saying goodbye to the year 2025. “See you next year, sweetie. Bye bye, 2025,” were her last words to her loyal fans. The exact date of her passing is unknown, but the world learned about it on February 3 after her friend’s memorial post. The tragedy shook the entire community and reminds us how important it is not to underestimate the warning signs.
