In a strategic agenda held in Brasília, this Wednesday (1st), the president of , Jorge Viana, alongside the Minister of Transport, Renan Filho, celebrated the new investment package that exceeds R$ 800 million for BR-364.
Viana classified the announcement as a definitive milestone to end the history of neglect with the state’s main highway.
“This is a revolution in Acre. We will, in fact, Marcus Alexandre, you who are from the region, have something for us to celebrate definitively and take BR away from this self-serving political agenda of fake news that we saw”, stated Jorge Viana.

During the event, which was also attended by the president of DNIT, Ricardo Araújo, the former governor emphasized that the recovery of the road, using hydraulic macadam technology to guarantee greater durability, represents a change in level for Acre logistics.
“I have no doubt that what we are doing here today is an outcome of President Lula’s trip to Acre. I worked for this, I am part of President Lula’s team, today I am leaving for another mission, but everything that happens in Acre has a lot to do with BR-317, which is the Pacific Road, and with BR-364, which runs from Rio Branco to Cruzeiro do Sul”, he highlighted.
Viana recalled the strategic importance of highways for the state’s integration and the historic effort to keep them operational.
“It is the backbone of the state. That’s why I always strived to build the BR, the Pacific Road and open the BR-364 road, which was open all year during my government”, said the president of Apex.
Finally, he lamented the period in which the local infrastructure suffered from a lack of maintenance and highlighted the new political and administrative moment.
“But seeing it abandoned, as happened in the last government — and we have to say this, perhaps due to the negligence of the bench and the Federal Government itself — was terrible. It almost became impassable. But President Lula’s government today announces, through Minister Renan — and I also worked for this —, it announces a new, definitive phase, which brings hope to the people of Acre”, he concluded.
