Despite tough rhetoric and continued strikes, Trump left open the window for a diplomatic exit, noting that a deal between Washington and Tehran remains possible even before hostilities cease.

However, he made it clear that the US stance does not depend on Iran’s willingness to come to the negotiating table, as the country’s military weakening is taken for granted. Finally, he fired personal shots at the Iranian leadership, claiming that the country is in a state of disorganization, typically stating that they now “have no leaders.”

Argentina: Terrorist organization the Revolutionary Guards

The Argentine government yesterday added the Revolutionary Guards, Iran’s ideological army, to the blacklist of “terrorist” organizations it is drawing up, aligning itself on the issue with that of the US, its main ally, the services of President Javier Millay announced.

The addition of the Revolutionary Guards to the list “allows the application of economic sanctions and operational restrictions” in order to prevent “any possibility” of them “to operate” in the Latin American country, explained in a presidential decision.

The Millay government is “determined that the Republic of Argentina realigns itself with Western civilization” and “fights the front that wants to destroy it,” the text says, echoing familiar rhetorical patterns of the ultra-liberal far-right president.
