The senator (Republicans) participated, this Wednesday (01), in the signing of the work order for the start of construction of the new bridge between Brasiléia and Epitaciolândia, a project awaited for decades and which will replace the José Augusto de Araújo bridge, known as Ponte Metálica, opened in 1986, already considered insufficient for the volume of traffic in the region.

The new bridge represents an important advance for urban mobility and the economic development of the border, facilitating the flow of production and ensuring greater safety for the population.

During the ceremony, Alan Rick highlighted the union of efforts that made the project viable. The work has R$ 17 million allocated by former federal deputy Mara Rocha and with additional resources articulated by the senator.

“Today is a historic day that I will forever keep in my memory. This work is the result of a lot of work, coordination and, above all, commitment to the population of Epitaciolândia and the entire region”, he stated.

The senator also reinforced that new investments are already guaranteed for the municipality, including the construction of a second bridge, with resources totaling R$34 million, R$3 million from his mandate, R$5 million from deputy Roberto Duarte and the rest from senator Márcio Bittar.

In addition to infrastructure, Alan Rick highlighted the allocation of more than R$3 million in equipment to strengthen the municipality’s public services, including machines and vehicles to support works, supply and city hall actions.

“It’s equipment for the mayor to work with. We are pleased to help a serious, committed management that delivers results for the population”, he said.

“We are talking about serious, honest management and committed to people. Epitaciolândia can continue to count on our work in the National Congress”, he reinforced.

In the end, the senator highlighted the strategic importance of the border region and reaffirmed his commitment to defending free trade areas, fundamental for local economic development.
