A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on Friday, the German Geo-Research Center (GFZ) said. According to Reuters witnesses, strong tremors were felt in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, in Kabul in Afghanistan and in the Indian capital New Delhi. The quake occurred at a depth of 177 kilometers, according to the GFZ.
