For those who are starting to take their first steps in , a question that arises is what is the best way to invest in bitcoin: buy directly or through an ETF?
That was the theme of the painting “Investor Talk”, in this week’s Money Review, presented by Bernardo Pascowitch.
This and other economic issues will be covered in the program and and help make better decisions in the market.
According to him, the simplest and safest gateway for beginners is the investment via ETF.
Pascowitch highlights that, when investing directly in cryptocurrency, the investor needs to make a series of decisions that increase the complexity of the operation, especially for those who do not yet have experience in this market.
“First, where will this purchase be made: directly between people, peer-to-peer, through a broker? How secure is that platform? What are the fees charged? And where do you store these coins? There are several risk factors for those who have never made a purchase”, he notes.
Therefore, the recommendation is start with the most structured path. Those that allow you to invest in bitcoin indirectly, with trading done directly on B3,
As these funds are regulated and traded via brokers, the investor does not need to deal with steps such as custody of cryptocurrencies or choosing platforms.
“You trade through your broker on B3, without worrying about platform security or coin storage, as this is already done within the ETF structure. In other words, it is much easier for your first purchase”, he concludes.
Among the options available on the market, global managers such as BlackRock offer products that facilitate this exposure to bitcoin in a practical way, including through ETFs and BDRs.
