US President says rescue of soldier in Iran was an “incredible demonstration of bravery and talent”
The president of the United States, (Republican Party), spoke again about the American pilot after the F-15E in Iran. In a publication on the Truth Social platform this Sunday (Apr 5, 2026), the Republican called the military man a “extremely brave” and declared that he is “seriously injured”.
Earlier, in the early hours of this Sunday (April 5), Trump had rescued the pilot and said that he had suffered “injuries”but it would be fine.
Trump declared that the operation carried out to rescue the pilot “is rarely attempted” because of the danger to those involved.
“It just doesn’t happen”wrote the American president. “An incredible display of bravery and talent from everyone”he stated.
Iran said, on Friday (April 3), it had 2 North American planes. The pilot of one of the aircraft was safe, but the pilot of the 2nd was still missing.
The rescue took place after armed men’s state vehicles searched for the pilot. Iranian authorities also reached out for information that would lead to the soldier’s capture.
Iranian military authorities said on Sunday (April 5) that enemy aircraft were destroyed during the search for the pilot.
A spokesman for Iran’s armed forces stated that “additional investigations carried out by experts at the scene revealed that 2 US Army C-130 military transport planes and 2 Black Hawk helicopters were destroyed”.
