Túlio Gadêlha joins the PSD, but reaffirms support for Lula

Deputy left Rede, a party he had been in since 2021, and intends to join the majority ticket linked to governor Raquel Lyra

The federal deputy (PE) left , a party to which he had been affiliated since 2021, and joined the PSD on Thursday (April 2, 2026), in an event held in Caruaru (PE). On that occasion, he announced his pre-candidacy for the Senate in the 2026 elections.

Despite the change to the PSD, Gadêlha stated that she will maintain support for the president (PT). According to him, the change of party does not change his alignment with the federal government nor his position in the electoral scenario.

The event was attended by the governor (PSD). During the event, the deputy said that he accepted the invitation to run for a seat in the Senate and that he intends to join the majority ticket linked to the governor. The composition still depends on political definitions.

Affiliation to the PSD occurs simultaneously with the articulations for the formation of slates in Pernambuco. The party seeks to expand its presence in the state and consolidate competitive candidacies for 2026.
