The head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard intelligence organization was killed on Monday (6) in a “terrorist attack by the American-Zionist (Israeli) enemy,” Iranian media said, citing a statement from the Guard.
Majid Khademi, who becomes the latest key figure killed in Israeli and US airstrikes, took command in 2025 after Israeli airstrikes killed his predecessor.
He spent decades in intelligence and counterintelligence roles as he rose through Iran’s security apparatus.

Before being appointed, Khademi headed the Guard Intelligence Protection Organization, in charge of internal surveillance and counterintelligence, and held senior positions in Iran’s Ministry of Defense.
The Guard’s intelligence arm is one of Iran’s most powerful security bodies, with a central role in internal surveillance to combat foreign influence and often operating in parallel with the Ministry of Civil Intelligence.
