Acre is the 8th state with the most workers with higher education in Brazil

Acre appears among the 10 Brazilian states with the highest proportion of workers with completed higher education. According to the State Competitiveness Ranking, from the Public Leadership Center (), the federative unit occupies 8th place nationally, with 22.9% of the population aged 14 or over, included in the workforce, with higher education.

This data draws attention amid the national scenario marked by challenges in the qualification of the workforce, considered one of the main obstacles to increasing productivity in the country.

Among the states in the North region, Acre is among the best placed, surpassing units such as (18.6%) and Pará (15%). The performance also places the state ahead of a significant part of the Northeast.

In the general ranking, the top is led by the Federal District, with 38.4%, followed by Rio de Janeiro (28.5%) and SĂŁo Paulo (27.7%).

Qualification is still a challenge

The indicator considers data from the Continuous PNAD and measures the percentage of workers with completed higher education, being one of the main parameters for evaluating the quality of human capital in the country.

The qualification of the workforce is directly linked to the competitiveness of states, influencing productivity, innovation and the ability to attract investment.
