The Minha Biblioteca Católica group promoted this Tuesday (7) an unprecedented action at Christ the Redeemer, in Rio de Janeiro, with the presence of influencers, collaborators and the team from the religious book publisher. The initiative marked the launch of its 100th box of books.
A celebration began at 5am, before the sun rose, and brought together dozens of people at the feet of the statue.
The theme was Christ the King, based on the work of American priest Joseph Husslein (1873-1952). “When instituting the feast of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, Pope Pius 11 clearly noted, already at that time, in the first decades of the last century, that the most serious illness ravaging the world was secularism, that is, the practical denial by men of Christ’s royalty”, says the publication.
Influencers such as Mariana Brito, Juliana Rachid, Laura Padilha, Cecília Portugal, Guilherme Cadoiss (Santa Carona), Guilherme Barsi, Alam Carrion, Josias Teófilo, Julliene Salviano and Jonathan Sales (voice of the desert) participated.
Minha Biblioteca Católica is characterized by publishing works with a strong theological, patristic and doctrinal basis, aimed at both intellectual formation and prayer life.
