Amid expectations, the topic will be debated this Tuesday (7) by the CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission) of the Chamber of Deputies.
The collegiate analyzes a PEC (Proposed amendment to the Constitution) on the subject. The commission will hold a debate with representatives of confederations from the productive sector in the areas of industry, agribusiness, commerce and transport.
Last month, the CCJ heard union representatives and the Minister of Labor and Employment, Luiz Marinho. The portfolio holder had stated that the Executive highlighted the sending of a project on changes in working hours.
However, the then minister Gleisi Hoffmann, from the Institutional Relations Secretariat, indicated that Planalto could send a new project with constitutional urgency to accelerate the progress of the issue in the Chamber.
Other projects on the subject are already being processed in the House, but a new matter with constitutional urgency would set an analysis period of up to 45 days in each Legislative House.
The president of the Chamber, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), however, defends the analysis of the 6×1 scale via PEC. Recently, the president of the Chamber, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), stated that the CCJ must complete the analysis of the PEC at the end of the 6 x 1 scale by the beginning of April. The plenary analysis is scheduled for May.
Hugh . “What we need is to have a lot of wisdom to also listen to the productive sector, listen to those who employ and with that we have a proposal that does bring progress and does not represent any setback for our country”, he highlighted.
The end of the current scale of work faces resistance from productive sectors, but has the support of the administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). With an electoral perspective, the government wants to move faster with the proposal.
