“Everyone is at risk of losing their mandate”, says Moraes about the União Progressistas ticket

Deputy Manoel Moraes, leader of the Government in , expressed in an interview with ContilNetthis Tuesday (7), his concern regarding the parliamentarians who are running for re-election by the União Progressistas federation.

Known as the “chapão of death”, the federation group presents the most competitive candidacies for 2026. Moraes stated that, on the ticket, “there is no one saved” and that even he himself could lose his mandate.

“The biggest problem is that we have a ticket made up of the PP and União Brasil with 13 deputies and perhaps three more councilors. Therefore, it is a ticket where no one is guaranteed. Everyone is at risk of losing their mandate. Anyone here, me, Nicolau, anyone”, he stated.

“Everyone is very strong and, at the same time, all opponents are equally strong. This is the concern of the deputies”, he acknowledged.

The União Progressistas is the federation through which the governor will seek re-election and where she will seek a seat in the Senate, in alliance with the MDB and the PL.
