Trump threatened to jail a journalist for publishing leaks about last weekend’s rescue operation of a military airman in Iran. The president did not reveal the identity of the journalist and urged him to reveal the identity of his source, warning that his Government is “looking for” the editor. ““We are going to find out who it was, it’s national security, and the person who made the report will go to jail if he doesn’t say it,” Trump said.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has threatened on several occasions to “cut off all trade with Spain” after the Spanish Government has led critical positions against the attack on Iran. Spain announced that it would not allow Washington to use the Morón and Rota bases in its offensive against Iran. Trump’s reaction was this: “Spain has been terrible, so we are going to cut off all trade with them. We don’t want to have anything to do with them”. Trump stressed that “he could stop all businesses related to Spain” through embargoes, due to Spain’s opposition to raising its contribution to NATO to the 5% of GDP proposed by Trump.
