Bilbao – Professional cyclist Felix Großschartner shone in third place in the opening time trial of the Tour of the Basque Country. Only young star Paul Seixas (Decathlon) and Kevin Vauquelin (Ineos) from France were faster than the Upper Austrian in Bilbao on Monday. Großschartner distanced himself from all other aces such as the Red Bull duo Primoz Roglic (4th) and Florian Lipowitz (6th) as well as his UAE captain Isaac del Toro (13th) over the 13.8 km with a long and an extremely steep final climb.
