The seasonal restaurant Brisa do Mar, at Reid’s Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Madeira, reopens for the new spring season, with the return of outdoor dining and a special event scheduled for April 24th, in Funchal.
The reopening will be marked with the ‘Zélia & Noélia’ dinner, which brings together the chefs Zélia Santos and Noélia Jerónimo in a joint gastronomic experience.
The event aims to highlight contemporary Portuguese cuisine, focusing on the flavors of the sea and the use of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.
Two chefs, two gastronomic identities
Chef Zélia Santos, responsible for Brisa do Mar since 2024, will present proposals inspired by the Madeiran tradition, valuing traditional cooking techniques.
Noélia Jerónimo, recognized for her work in the Algarve, will bring her connection with the sea to the table, with dishes that reflect childhood memories and an approach based on simplicity and authenticity.
The dinner menu includes fish soup as a starter, followed by lemon rice with fish from Mercado dos Lavradores and duck leg with regional couscous.
The meal ends with Alentejo sericaia, reinterpreted with a touch by chef Zélia Santos.
The experience can be complemented with a pairing of selected wines, representing various regions of the country.
The event starts at 7:30 pm, with guests receiving a welcome cocktail and canapés prepared by the Brisa do Mar Lounge team.
The night will also feature live music, performed by Madeiran artist Tiago Sena Silva, in an environment that combines gastronomy and entertainment with views of the Atlantic.
