The highlight of the Artemis 2 lunar mission went according to plan: The Orion space capsule Integrity with four astronauts on board flew around the moon, set a new distance record to Earth and observed features of the Earth’s satellite that no human has ever seen with the naked eye before (the live ticker can be read here). This also includes craters that have formed since the lunar missions more than 50 years ago, as the moon does not have a protective atmosphere like the Earth and is under constant bombardment from meteoroids.
