The national president of the Liberal Party (PL), Valdemar Costa Neto, insists that whoever chooses is André do Prado, president of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, running as senator for SP is the Bolsonaro family. “Who will choose is Eduardo (Bolsonaro) and Jair (Bolsonaro)”, he told the reporter.
In this context, André do Prado has intensified political movements to consolidate his name. A trip to the United States is even planned to meet with Eduardo, in yet another attempt at rapprochement and strategic alignment. A tointernal assessment is that the parliamentarian has recently gained strength within the partyespecially after losing ground in the possibility of being on the ticket as deputy to the São Paulo government.
In addition to André do Prado, other names remain on the PL radarsuch as federal deputies Mário Frias and Marco Feliciano, who have preference in sectors linked to Eduardo Bolsonaro. The vice-mayor of São Paulo, Mello Araújo, has lost ground in recent weeks.
