Founder of Doutor Finances accused of harassment; is prohibited from entering the company

The founder of , Rui Pedro Bairrada, is prohibited from entering the company: he is the target of allegations of moral and sexual harassment. A disciplinary process is ongoing.

Doutor Finances is a credit intermediary company, focused on real estate credit, consolidated credit and insurance; is known by many Portuguese for sharing advice on practical, everyday financial matters.

Rui Pedro Bairrada is accused of inappropriate comments at work, especially with women, in addition to shouting e aggressive speech, describes the . No further details are revealed.

Following the complainants’ complaints, two guilt notesin January and March of this year.

Rui is now chairman of the company. The complaints relate to the period in which he had executive functions, when he was executive director (until January 2025). Some are recent complaints, others are older – and more may emerge.

The company confirms the disciplinary process but ensures that nothing affects the management led by Vanda de Jesus e Nuno Lealthe two executive directors.

“Mountain of nothing”

“Everything I’m being accused of It’s not true, I have proof of that and I will demonstrate this in my own headquarters. I couldn’t be more confident than I am.”

Rui Pedro Bairrada told the Observer that he has “a clear conscience” and that “the whole truth will be restored”. He has already responded to the note of guilt, the case is with the lawyers: he has “answers for all notes of guilt”.

“It’s a mountain of nothing”, assures the chairman.

Amidst “false accusations” and “serious irregularities”, the accused commented: “It is a process of instrumentalization promoted by those who wants to pressure and push away from the company that I created and helped to grow.”

“I am not subject to pressure for any mediatization attempt against me, based on an internal process promoted by the current management based on false imputations”, added Rui Pedro Bairrada.

Rui finds it strange that these allegations have arisen years later of alleged harassment and at a stage in which failed as negotiations about his departure from management of the company; reinforces that there is “serious irregularities” – absence of alleged complaints, recordings of statements destroyed and deficient transcriptions; and still regrets the “leak of information” to the Observer.
