How was the game

The first half was one of few emotions, with both teams creating rare clear scoring opportunities.

Mirassol’s best chance came in the 18th minute, when André Luis stole the ball inside the area and finished over goalkeeper Nahuel Losada.

Lanús responded in the 32nd minute with José Canale, who weakly headed a cross, making it easy for goalkeeper Walter to save.

In the second half, Mirassol grew in the match and almost opened the scoring in the 4th minute, when Neto Moura scored with a header after a corner kick, but the goal was disallowed because the ball had gone out at the origin of the play.

The Brazilian team’s pressure had an effect in the 15th minute, when João Victor took advantage of Reinaldo’s precise cross from a corner kick on the left and headed it into the back of the net.

After the goal, Lanús tried to react, but found it difficult to break through Mirassol’s defensive block.

The Argentines’ situation worsened in the 44th minute of the second half, when Tomás Guidara hit Negueba with the sole of his boot and received a straight red card.
