The (Brazilian Space Agency) has opened the deadline for receiving new proposals for space missions. Interested institutions have until May 18 to submit projects that will undergo preliminary analysis at the 8th Ordinary Deliberative Meeting of ProSAME (Procedure for the Selection and Adoption of Space Missions), scheduled for June 25, 2026.
Proposals can be sent by any institution through an electronic form on the agency’s website. However, the May deadline is the limit established for the project to enter the deliberation agenda for this semester.
The June meeting will present the status of proposals and identify those with the potential to advance to the technical analysis phase.
WHAT IS PROSAME
Established in June 2025, ProSAME is the official procedure used by AEB to evaluate and choose space mission ideas. The approved projects are adopted and executed within the scope of the Pnae (National Space Activities Program), which is valid from 2022 to 2031.
AEB, created in 1994, is an agency linked to the MCTI (Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation) and responsible for formulating and executing the Brazilian Space Policy.
To allow the public to follow the progress of these initiatives, the agency updated the portfolio of proposals and missions with a new interface. The data is available for open consultation at .
